Are you looking for purpose, meaning, direction in your
life? The Bible states in John 3:16, "God so loved each one
in the world that He gave us His Son. Thus, anyone who puts
their trust in the Son, will not perish, but have eternal
life."---personal translation. If this statement is true,
and I believe it is, that means that you are loved by the
King of the Universe. He accepts you just as you are. You
are infinitely valuable. He has given you Himself, the most
He can give. Your life DOES HAVE MEANING. If God so
loves you, you also have a purpose: love Him back! Of course
we can't make ourselves love someone. That's why God gave us
the Bible, Prayer, and the Obedient Life. As we read the
Bible, we get to know Him. As we pray, we communicate with
Him, getting to know Him better. And as we practice the
principles of the obedient life, we actually try out and do
things with Him. Whether you are just beginning a
relationship with Jesus, or you are reconnecting, the key to
loving Him back, is knowing Him better, and the keys to know
Him better are Bible study, prayer, and the Obedient Life.
Your life DOES HAVE PURPOSE.
Your life has a direction also: upward, forward, outward.
Remember, you have eternal life. You can look upward to
Heaven for help, forward to life in Heaven and on a renewed
Earth, and outward, to Him as your Source of Strength and to
others as friends to share His Good News with. Remember, God
so loved the whole world. He needs you to tell the others He
has so loved, of His great gift for them. Your life DOES
HAVE DIRECTION.
